Job summary

ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Construction Safety Manager to oversee all safety activities for large-scale MTA projects, including the Broadway Junction Station Complex in East New York, Brooklyn.

The role involves managing safety for employees, subcontractors, and the public, enforcing safety programs, and coordinating third-party reviews and OSHA activities to ensure compliance and safe execution on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety management experience.
• Head of safety on at least one transit/rail or design-build project.
• Certifications in safety are preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to oversee all safety activities for large-scale MTA projects; specifically, for the Broadway Junction Station Complex (MTA Design-Build Contract A37130), located in East New York, Brooklyn.

The individual shall be responsible for managing the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the general public; enforcing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards; identifying known/potential exposures and recommending corrective actions; reporting project-specific safety performance and future plans; working closely with field supervision to plan complex safety aspects of the project construction; develop project-specific safe work plans; and coordinate third party safety reviews, including OSHA, among other activities.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing construction safety including experience as the head of safety on at least one (1) transit, commuter rail or design-build project
• Track Safety Trained for NYCT
• OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction
• OSHA 30-hr Training for Construction
• NYCT Right-of-Way (ROW) experience with flagging and diversions of service
• 40-hour NYC-Department of Buildings Site Safety Manager Course
• Member of the ASSP
• Undergraduate degree in Safety and Health or related discipline a plus
• Active ASP/and or CHST designation a plus

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 in addition to bonus potential, 401k Safe Harbor Contribution, health benefits, paid time off, and more.
