Qualifications

• Advanced academic preparation in social work or a closely related field; MSW and earned doctorate preferred; licensure eligibility.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in graduate social work education, including curriculum design, assessment, and student mentoring.
• Experience in academic program leadership or administration, such as directing programs, coordinating field education, or managing accreditation and compliance processes.
• Active record of scholarship, research, or professional practice in social work.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills, with the ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
• Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice within the MSW curriculum, field placements, and campus community.
• Experience building and sustaining community partnerships, supervising field education, or coordinating internships and practicum placements.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards for social work education (CSWE) and experience in accreditation self-studies or site visits.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate-level courses in social work and mentor MSW students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment to ensure accreditation readiness.
• Oversee program administration including scheduling, enrollment management, and coordination with university offices.
• Foster partnerships with community agencies for field placements and applied learning.
• Lead program planning, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in faculty governance, committees, and service to the department and university.
