Collaborate with the Practicum Education Department, provide educator orientation, conduct site visits, and evaluate student progress to support professional development.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be licensed MSWs.
• Two or more years of relevant social work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a minimum of one hour per week of individual supervision to the MSW intern, with ongoing evaluation of their progress.
• Coordinate with the on-site task supervisor to interview student interns prior to the practicum.
• Coordinate and provide learning experiences for interns with the on-site supervisor.
• Attend orientation sessions provided by the School (required for all new practicum educators).
• Introduce the agency to students, including safety, HIPAA, and site-specific regulations.
• Review and provide input on learning contracts for students and educators.
• Conduct a minimum of one practicum visit in fall and one in spring with three-way meetings.
• Be available to resolve issues via phone or additional visits; document recommendations.
• Review Practicum Performance Evaluation Forms at mid-placement and end.
