Job description

Position Summary/Department Summary:

This 40-hour social work position will provide Behavioral Health services as part of the integrated BH team in Primary Care. This includes assessments, evaluations, consultations with interdisciplinary team members, and brief and long term BH treatment for patients and families who receive care in the primary care practice at Children’s Hospital Boston. This position requires working potentially one evening a week (until 8 pm) to cover clinic hours and accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of the integrated BH team, Provide behavioral health services to patients and families in Primary care, including but not limited to brief therapy, crisis evaluation, consultations and long term and or episodic behavioral Health support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• LCSW with health care experience preferred

Education:

• Master’s degree in social work.

Experience:

• Social work experience in a medical environment highly preferred
• Flexibility and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Persons of diversity strongly encouraged to apply

Licensure/Certifications:

• LCSW in the state of MA required, LICSW licensure in the state of MA is preferred
