Job summary

The VCU School of Social Work, Office of Field Education, is seeking field education liaisons to oversee MSW field placements. The role connects the School of Social Work, field instructors, and students to ensure high-quality field experiences.

Responsibilities include orienting students, providing course syllabi, and facilitating monthly sessions while evaluating fieldwork. This is a part-time, non-benefited appointment with a defined caseload and close collaboration with the Office of Field

Qualifications

• MSW degree from CSWE-accredited program.
• Minimum of three years post-MS W practice experience.
• Previous field education experience as field instructor or related experience.
• Schedule flexibility during traditional work day.
• Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Orient students to the field course and program requirements.
• Provide syllabus and expectations for field course.
• Facilitate monthly virtual class sessions.
• Read and grade field course work promptly.
• Assign final field education grades based on multiple data sources.
• Provide feedback on student progress and support student success.
• Support field instructors in designing meaningful field experiences.
• Coordinate with field instructors and students via video visits.
