Job summary

Northwest Nazarene University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the MSW program with a clinical focus. The role encompasses teaching Field and Clinical courses, and coordinating with the distance cohort.

Courses are scheduled Thursday/Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, with travel to Idaho Falls for on-site instruction. A CSWE-accredited MSW and a doctoral degree are required, plus clinical licensure and teaching experience.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited college/university.
• Earned doctorate in social work or a closely related discipline.
• Current licensure in Social Work, preferably at the clinical level.
• Experience in individual counseling, group counseling and trauma therapy.
• Experience in clinical settings.
• Successful teaching at the graduate level.
• Experience with distance education.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Christian perspective aligned with NNU mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach Field and Clinical courses in the MSW program.
• Negotiate exact teaching assignments with applicants.
• Some classes scheduled evenings and Saturdays; travel to Idaho Falls for on-site instruction to distance cohort.
