Job Details

The Instructor/Operator (I/O) Team Lead provides training support services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), conducting medical instruction and skill validation for the 68W Combat Medic in line with standards established by the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) and related authorities. The role involves instructing a diverse group of soldiers across all MOSs in various settings including classrooms, simulation labs, and field environments.

Normal working hours are Monday through Sunday, 0800 - 1700, excluding Federal Holidays, with a maximum of 40 hours per week and a one-hour unpaid lunch daily. The I/O Team Lead will utilize approved POIs and simulation scenarios to conduct training, which include courses like MEDIC, BLS, ALS, PALS, EMT, NRP, Combat Life Saver, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, among others.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the ACLC Program Management Office Representative at the MSTC site.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold professional and ethical standards among staff.
  • Coordinate course scheduling to meet an annual throughput of 2,500 students.
  • Manage training schedules, updates, and throughput reports.
  • Approve staff timecards, PTO, and Sick leave, and report absences and concerns promptly.
  • Refer external training requests and site visit information to the PMO.
  • Ensure all POIs meet credentialing standards and are delivered without BMM.
  • Handle administrative duties for courses, including student records and certifications.
  • Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct inventories and assist with training site setup and cleanup.
  • Prepare course materials, conduct After Action Reviews, and support exercise planning.
  • Train and educate students on technical material and medical tasks, including Train the Trainer courses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by ACLC.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current NREMT certification at EMT or higher level (Paramedic preferred).
  • Basic Life Support certification and instructor qualifications from the ARC.
  • Annual completion of MEDIC Tables I-VII and VIII validation.
  • Ability to instruct all POIs and demonstrate comprehension of course material.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of establishing and operating training sites and programs.
  • Eligibility for a Contractor CAC.
Additional Requirements
  • Former 68W or 18D NCO, Navy NEC 8404 or E-6+, Air Force 4NOX1 or above, or licensed healthcare professionals such as RNs, PAs, or physicians.
Physical Demands

This role involves working in classroom, lab, and field environments, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching. Visual and manual dexterity are also necessary.
