The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled is seeking an Assistant School Services Director for Area Operations. This role oversees recruitment, purchasing, reporting, and daily office operations for area school operations.

The position requires a preferred master’s degree in school administration or special education and a five-year supervisory background, along with Missouri certification preferences.

Qualifications

  • Preferred master’s degree in school administration or special education from an accredited college or university.
  • Missouri Certification in School Administration or an area of special education preferred.
  • Five years of supervisory experience with decision-making authority and working knowledge of computer technology and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates recruiting, selection, and employment of qualified staff.
  • Manage procedural and regulatory responsibilities for purchasing supplies, equipment and services for area school operations.
  • Manage standardized reporting requirements of area operations for compliance with established administrative procedures.

  • Manage day-to-day area office operations and supervise area support secretarial staff.

Salary: $55,680

Please note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervises and coordinates recruiting, selection, and employment of qualified staff.
