The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled is seeking an Assistant School Services Director for Area Operations. This role oversees recruitment, purchasing, reporting, and daily office operations for area school operations.

Salary: $55,680
Please note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.
What you’ll do:
Manage procedural and regulatory responsibilities for purchasing supplies, equipment and services for area school operations.
Manage standardized reporting requirements of area operations for compliance with established administrative procedures.
Coordinate area office electronic reporting systems through monitoring accuracy of data input and helping develop reporting formats to be used in area offices and schools.
Manage day-to-day area office operations and supervise area support secretarial staff.
Provide staff development for secretaries in area schools, area office, or other area staff as requested.
Plan, organize and execute office operations.
All you need for success:
Preferred master’s degree in school administration or special education. Such degree must be from an accredited college or university.
OR
Preferred Missouri Certification in School Administration or an area of special education.
OR
Five years’ experienceinasupervisoryrolewithdecision-makingauthorityandworking knowledge of computer technology and applications.
Lackofpost-secondaryeducationwillnotbeusedasthesolebasisdenyingconsiderationtoany applicant.
