Job summary

Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, is seeking the Director of the MSN-Entry Program. This combined administrative and faculty appointment (1.0 FTE) leads the MSN-E program implementation and coordinates activities across the College of Graduate Nursing.

The Director reports to the Dean, ensures compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements, develops policies, oversees budgeting, and collaborates with clinical partners to advance student learning and program quality.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year experience in higher education or nursing administration as program director, department chair or similar, and have one year of full-time teaching experience in nursing.
  • State board of nursing approved for teaching in a required subject area.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Director works with a wide variety of educational and health care partners to facilitate the successful implementation of the MSN-E program.
  • Represents the College of Graduate Nursing as a member of the university community via committee membership and service.
  • Develops, implements, evaluates and advances the College's educational, scholarly, and public service activities and programs.
  • Ensures that all legal and accreditation requirements for the MSN-E program are met.
  • Develops and oversees a systematic planning process to facilitate and improve the MSN-E program to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Maintains records and oversees the communication processes with clinical facilities.
