Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Clinical/Laboratory Instructor to teach primarily in the clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings for the MSN (Entry into Practice) program. The role reports to the Clinical Course Coordinator and ultimately to the Associate Director for Clinical Practice, MSN (Entry into Nursing) Program.

The position is term-based for a semester (Fall 2026: 8/25/2026–12/15/2026) with renewal contingent on program needs and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care as an RN or APRN.
• Master's degree in nursing or DNP is required.
• Experience as a clinical educator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach in clinical/laboratory/simulation settings using evidence-based practice and adult learning principles.
• Ensure complete/assigned clinical hours and compliance requirements.
• Provide timely feedback to students on progress and performance.
• Collaborate with nurse managers and clinical staff to support student learning.
• Travel to Johns Hopkins SON and clinical facilities in the Baltimore-Washington area.
