Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer II to perform musculoskeletal ultrasound across ambulatory sites, with primary work at Short Pump Pavilion. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient communication, and adherence to imaging protocols.

Expected to rotate to other sites to cover open shifts as needed. Requirements include ARRT(S) or RDMS/CCI credentials, BLS, and completion of orientation (6 months).

Qualifications

• ARRT Sonographer certification or equivalent RDMS/CCI RDCS/RVT credentials required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers completed.
• Completion of 6‑month orientation; one year of experience eligible for direct hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures across MSK and related areas.
• Complete post-processing, image display, preliminary reporting, and transfer for physician review.
• Cover open shifts and rotate between sites as needed.
• Provide patient education and ensure consent and understanding of exams.
