Job summary

UVA Community Health in Northern Virginia seeks a fellowship-trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join our Community Division and provide comprehensive imaging services across Prince William Hospital, Haymarket Medical Center, Culpeper Hospital, Culpeper Outpatient Imaging Center and Gainesville Outpatient Imaging Center.

The role focuses on clinical service (90–95%) with 5–10% for administrative duties, in a dynamic, academically connected university health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certified/eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Strong clinical skills, collaborative mindset, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal imaging studies including MRI, CT, ultrasound and radiography of the extremities, joints, spine and pelvis.
• Perform and interpret image-guided musculoskeletal procedures such as joint injections, aspirations and biopsies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and provide consultative expertise for referring physicians and staff.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine, rheumatologists, oncologists and primary care providers.
• Share in the division's clinical schedule and call responsibilities, with occasional coverage at satellite centers.
• Contribute to divisional quality improvement, workflow optimization and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in peer review, protocol development and marketing/recruitment efforts.
• Work with technologists, nurses and admin staff to ensure high-quality imaging protocols and timely service.
• Support a culture of collegiality, inclusivity and respect across UVA Radiology.
• Help advance the professional reputation of UVA Radiology in the communities we serve.
