Job summary

Paramount Pictures in Miami seeks a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join CBS News Miami. The MSJ will ideate daily original stories with a strong on-camera presence and the ability to shoot, write, and edit for broadcast and digital platforms.

Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays is required. You will collaborate with news managers and producers to develop compelling local stories, delivering content across TV and social media while maintaining high journalistic

Qualifications

• Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video.
• Knowledge of Grass Valley Edius or similar editing platform.
• Familiar with ENG cameras, lighting and LiveU systems.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Team player capable of multi-tasking under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise content daily.
• Cover breaking news when assigned.
• Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts.
• Collaborate with managers and producers on story development.
• Produce content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and other platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

CBS News Miami is looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team. The MSJ will have a passion for original storytelling, bring story ideas to the table daily, and a desire to tell local stories that matter in fast-paced South Florida.
MSJ’s are responsible for enterprising content and executing a story from start to finish. The candidate will also have a strong on-camera presence and strong technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and executive enterprise content on a daily basis
• Cover breaking news when assigned
• Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts
• Work with news managers and producers to develop stories
• Produce content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and other social media platforms
• Perform other duties as assigned
• A valid driver’s License is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platforms
• Must have knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platform
• Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU
• Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays is required
• Must be a team player who can multi-task and possess the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Journalism degree is preferred
