Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group in Baltimore, MD seeks a Service Technician to repair vehicles, assist guests, and help redefine the service experience. The role involves routine repairs, diagnostics with support, and mastering manufacturer systems.

The technician will inspect, document, communicate with advisors, perform road tests, and participate in ongoing training. A valid driver’s license, basic tools, MSI/ASE/manufacturer certifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are highly preferred.
• MSI State License is required.
• Manufacturer certifications are highly preferred.
• Previous automotive technician experience is required.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must be a team player with ability to work on complex tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of multi-point inspection forms on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as per Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to determine work needed and confirm completion when necessary.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services.
• Participate in manufacturer training and stay updated on new technology.
