Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions Inc is seeking a qualified developer to build and deploy SharePoint Online applications and Power Apps solutions. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, test and iterate, and deliver integrated web apps within a government/defense context.

The candidate will work through the full DevOps lifecycle, applying HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SPFx, and Teams integration, while adhering to Agile/Scrum methodologies and security clearance

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science, engineering, IT or CS.
• At least 4+ years building business apps on Power Apps/Power Automate with SharePoint.
• 2+ years applying Agile and Scrum in projects.
• Experience translating legacy workflows into modern patterns.
• Ability to develop/test/deploy web apps using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with SharePoint Online and SPFx.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy SharePoint Online-based web apps and Power Apps solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Troubleshoot flows and app issues; read and interpret workflows.
• Integrate SharePoint apps with Teams and other 365 services.
• Follow Agile/Scrum processes in a government/large-scale environment.

Job description

Required:

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position


• BS degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or computer information systems


• Practical experience in SharePoint Online web app development and SharePoint lists and libraries 2+ years of work experience developing business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including solutions built on SharePoint


• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Ability to think through, develop, test, and deploy web app solutions using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.


• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team building skills


• Understanding of the Agile SW development process and Scrum methodology


• Ability to gather requirements, propose solutions, and iterate with stakeholders


• Ability to read and interpret existing workflows and business logic, troubleshoot broken flows and app issues, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders


• 2+ years of work experience applying Agile and Scrum methodology


• 4+ years of work experience developing business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including solutions built on SharePoint


• Experience translating legacy workflow logic into modern patterns, debugging and refactoring complex flows, and working withing tenant/governance constraints


• Integration of SharePoint Online applications with Teams and other 365 applications


• SharePoint solution experience using SPFx.


• Experience leveraging AI tools (GitHub Copilot) to assist coding development and test.


• Experience with USSF systems engineering and integration contracts


• Active Secret or higher clearance
