Job summary

DG Foods in Bastrop, LA is seeking a dedicated MSC Coordinator to schedule the shipment of poultry products and coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams. You will ensure on-time deliveries, maintain records, and support MSC operations in the supervisor’s absence.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; a 2- or 4-year degree in logistics is preferred.
Experience in shipping, logistics, or scheduling, ideally in food processing/manufacturing.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily and weekly shipping schedules to meet customer demands and plant production capabilities.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure timely shipments.
Communicate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to arrange transportation and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Monitor and track shipments and provide updates to stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of shipping schedules, load plans and delivery confirmations.
Ensure compliance with food safety and transportation regulations (USDA and company policies).
Supervise MSC operations in the absence of the MSC supervisor.
