Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated MS/Tele Float Travel Nurse to join our team at Biron Robertson for roles across North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients while enjoying the excitement of travel nursing.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience, at least 1 year in MS/tele setting
  • First time travelers not accepted
• Certs: BLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

• ACLS

JOB DETAILS:

• Ratios: 1:6, flex based on needs in organization
• 12 hour nights, 36 hours per week, weekends only
  • Option to be scheduled on Friday or Monday for the coverage for 3 days
• Float required within the CNRO (Centralized Resource Nursing Pool)
  • Float Pool currently covers three separate campuses.
  • Majority of shifts will be at the main campus but shift can also be scheduled at New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital
  • Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift
• Unite systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• 24 hour orientation
• Navy scrubs

PATIENT DIAGNOSES:

• Floating between several medical, surgical, and telemetry units
• Assisting in caring for patients held in our ED who are inpatient

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:

• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
  • Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
  • Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
• Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
  • During times of increased census typical ratios may be higher.
