Job summary

Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center seeks a physician to cover the Multiple Sclerosis clinic, lead the Houston MS Regional Program, and collaborate with Neurology, Rehab, SCI teams. You will teach residents, fellows, and medical students while delivering high-quality neurological care.

The role includes patient education, charting, and coordinating advanced diagnostics within VA EMR systems; on-call rotations are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic medical licensure requirements and have completed an approved residency.
• Proficiency in English is required for clinical duties and teaching.
• Board certification/board eligible status is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover the MS clinic for adult patients and oversee related care.
• Lead the Houston MS Regional Program in collaboration with the MS Center of Excellence.
• Teach residents, fellows, and medical students as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families; supervise staff.
