Job summary

S R INTERNATIONAL INC is seeking a Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer to support the statewide Child Support System for the State of Mississippi MDHS. This role focuses on maintaining, enhancing, and integrating with multiple platforms while modernizing processes.

Work is onsite in Jackson, MS, 8 AM to 5 PM with potential overtime and on-call support as required. The project duration is at least 3 years from the projected start date.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of programming experience in Natural and ADABAS.
• Experience running Natural batch processes via JCL/SCL and online.
• 2+ years designing and programming large-scale Linux systems.
• 4+ years with automated child support systems.
• 3+ years providing SME on system architectures.

Description

We are looking for a talented and highly effective Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer to join our development and support team. We are currently supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the statewide Child Support System. The enhancments include use of latest technologies as needed to interface/integrate with other systems on different platforms and automation of current processes.

Required Skills/Experience

10+ Years of Programming experience in Natural, and the utilization of ADABAS.

Experience running Natural processes in batch via JCL and/or SCL, and online

2+ Years of Experience in the analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale Linux systems.

4+ Years of Experience with automated child support systems

3+ Years of Ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architectures

Business Skill Set/Requirements

Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes

Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes

Experience training end users on software

Technical/Business Skill Set

Knowledge of child support policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented or similar to those in METSS, the Mississippi statewide child support system

Experience interpreting, designing and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems such as METSS

Preferred/Not Required

Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.

Strong oral and written communication, and time management skills.

Strong troubleshooting skills and On-call support is required

Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.

Ability to conceive and/or develop creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Experience with SCRUM /Iteration methodologies.

Experience with Jira Software.

Ability to work on many projects at one time.

Experience converting out dated technologies to new cutting-edge technologies.
