Job summary

Young World Physical Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated MS Head Cheer Coach at Shroder Middle School in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role requires overseeing the cheer team, developing training programs, and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes. Applicants should have previous coaching experience and a strong knowledge of cheerleading rules and techniques. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to inspire are essential. This is a Supplemental Annual Limited contract.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Middle School Cheer Team including tryouts, practices, and games.
  • Develop and execute an effective training program.
  • Motivate and mentor student-athletes on and off the Court/Field.
  • Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills and training necessary for success.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.

Skills

Fundraising experience
Strong knowledge of cheer rules and techniques
Passionate and dedicated to inspire student-athletes
Previous experience coaching cheer preferred
Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
Positive role model
Demonstrated knowledge and skills associated with the sport

Education

Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred
Evidence of successful past coaching experience
