Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking athletic coaches to join our program. Applicants must be 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and provide at least one reference letter. A current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required; teachers with coaching cert are exempt from separate coaching certs.

First Aid, CPR, and AED training are required. Applicants should be prepared to complete an online application with the required documents.

• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)

2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
