Recovery and Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio invites applications for a Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist. You will provide peer support across Miami, Darke and Shelby Counties as part of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) Team.

Personal experience as a parent/caregiver informs a compassionate, collaborative approach. Requirements include Ohio certification or willingness to obtain, plus the ability to drive reliably.

Formación

• Certified Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist or willingness to obtain with assistance.
• Has lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child in behavioral healthcare.
• Maintains an excellent driving record and reliable transportation.
• Possesses HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family.
• Identify community resources and supports based on youth and family needs.
• Collaborate with MRSS Team to support stabilization and transition phases.
• Engage as part of an interdisciplinary team and build relationships with professionals.

The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis.
