Job summary

W.R. Grace is seeking a detail-oriented and results-drivenMRP Planner to manage raw material planning, optimize inventory availability, and support seamless manufacturing operations at our site. In this role, you will leverage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and enterprise resource planning software to evaluate production demands, forecast material requirements, and coordinate procurement timelines. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including operations, logistics, master scheduling, and supply chain partners—you will monitor safety stock levels, track vendor lead times, and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions to prevent production delays. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) records, support rigorous inventory accuracy standards, and continuously align planning schedules to meet customer delivery commitments safely and efficiently.

• Develop, modify, and manage production schedules to meet business demands.
• Evaluate purchase orders and create suitable production schedules based on material availability and production capacity.
• Estimate the required materials, equipment, and labor to support efficient production processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are consistent with production schedules.
• Ensure production related issues are promptly captured within the production schedule and communicated to Supply Chain management Coordinate production operations in alignment with material, labor, and equipment availability.
• Recommend solutions to reduce production costs, improve processes, and enhance product quality.
• Adjust production schedules as needed to meet changing demands and deadlines.
• Deliver regular updates on production progress in forums established to support Supply Chain Execution (via e-mail, scheduled meetings).
• Communicate schedule changes effectively to relevant departments to ensure alignment.
• Manage inventory levels, track production volumes, and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials sourced for production meet quality, specification, and cost-efficiency requirements.
• Oversee the supply and delivery of materials and finished products.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, customer service, supply leads, quality, and logistics to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations effectively.
• Accountable for SAP MRP data maintenance and daily system management
• Executes monthly close-out operations and leads the preparation of close-out reports and reconciliations.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
• Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years Business Industry Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of planning principles, including capacity planning, demand management, and inventory control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management,
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or other relevant certifications is a plus.
• Experience as a Production/Material Planner
• Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and planning software
