Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC, is seeking a Manufacturing Planner Buyer to join our production team. You will schedule components and production, review MRP outputs, and place orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have 5+ years in MRP planning, experience with ERP systems (SyteLine preferred), and BOM management, with strong communication and time-management skills. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and APICS/CPIM certification is highly desired.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of MRP planning experience with purchasing knowledge
• Solid ERP systems knowledge; SyteLine preferred
• Experience with manufacturing BOMs
• Initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented with a high sense of urgency
• Adept at time management and handling multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Schedule components and production to ensure inventory meets sales projections
• Review MRP outputs daily; manage planned orders, expedites, defers, cancels
• Plan and place manufacturing and purchase orders for production components and finished goods
• Proactively review and expedite parts shortages by identifying issues
• Communicate production schedule changes to appropriate areas
• Optimize inventory levels to meet production requirements
• Work with multiple sites to procure/provide products
• Understand customer needs, history, forecasts and sales plans
• Analyze and correct inventory records to ensure system accuracy
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality and Production
