Job summary

Watts Water Technologies is seeking a process-driven MRP Buyer in North Andover, MA. You will execute MRP-driven procurement, maintain planning-parameter accuracy, and ensure data integrity to optimize replenishment. The role reports to the Sr.

Manager, MRP Buying and combines office-based collaboration with two remote days per week. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in operations or supply chain and at least two years’ experience with MRP/DRP and S&OP.

Responsibilities

  • Execute MRP-Driven procurement by reviewing and acting on MRP-generated purchase recommendations, ensuring on-time replenishment of components and finished goods and monitoring MRP exception messages.
  • Own Planning Parameter Accuracy, including auditing and updating master-data regularly.
  • Maintain data and system integrity and resolve misses generating cost, cash or service impact.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for service misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prioritize actions that improve service and deliver the “Right Product, Right Time” experience for customers.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment across the supply chain.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, MRP Buying or Company management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in planning workflows, data governance, and system usability

Scope of Position

This process-driven individual will be responsible for executing purchase orders generated by the MRP system and ensuring the accuracy of planning signals that drive replenishment. A strong understanding of master data and planning parameters—such as lead times, order quantities, and safety stock is critical to your success in this role. You will monitor MRP exceptions daily, follow up on supply issues, and validate that procurement activity aligns with system logic and real-world supplier performance. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, MRP Buying. This role is hybrid and is based in North Andover, MA.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of operations or supply chain or similar field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency with MRP and DRP.
  • Understanding of S&OP process.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Clearly communicate results of analysis in verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to use PowerBI and Office software.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications

Certification from APICS (CPIM or CSCP)

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the North Andover, MA location three days per week (Monday – Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements

Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this position is $74,000 - $83,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law. Nothing in this job description restricts Watts’ right to assign or reassign duties, responsibilities, and working hours/conditions to this position at any time. This position is 'at will,' which means that either the employee or Watts may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice, and for any lawful reason.
