Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is hiring a MRO Purchaser to coordinate SAP inventory, purchasing, expediting of parts, MRO supplies, outside services, and contract work. You will generate purchase orders and handle invoicing documentation under the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, with SAP proficiency preferred. On-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience, manufacturing or supply chain experience.
• Associate’s degree in business, information systems, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creates purchase orders in SAP for MRO, capital projects, and contract purchases.
• Obtains price quotations from prospective vendors for MRO supplies, services and materials.
• Coordinates invoices and maintains proper documentation for Work Order files.
• Establishes and maintains hard copy and electronic files for purchasing activities.
• Generates SAP reports including stock replenishment, inventory usage and delinquent purchase orders.

Our “Campbell’s Cares” program matches employee donations and/or volunteer activity up to $1,500 annually.* Campbell’s has a variety of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support employees.**How you will make history here...**The MRO Purchaser (under the supervision of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager) is responsible for coordinating SAP inventory, purchasing/expediting parts, MRO supplies, outside service, contract coordination and generating purchase orders**What you will do..**.- Purchasingo Creates purchase orders in SAP for: MRO/miscellaneous supplies, capital projects, contract purchaseso Obtains price quotations from prospective vendors for MRO supplies, services and miscellaneous materials.o Coordinates invoices from vendors and prepares proper documentation associated with Work Order files.o Establishes and maintains hard copy and electronic files for purchasing activitieso Responsible for resolving invoice discrepancies, vendor generated credit follow-ups and freight charge accrualso Develops vendor blanket purchase orders, updating them annually or “as needed” basis.o Orders general supplies for Engineering and Maintenance Department as well as various plant needs on an “as needed” basis.- Inventory managemento Compares available inventory of each part or piece of equipment with its specified re-ordering pointo Reviews of historical data on equipment parts and re-orders as necessaryo Evaluates repair/replace optionso Coordinates cycle counting and physical inventory of storeroomo Generates various SAP reports including stock replenishment, inventory usage, value analysis, parts allocation, and delinquent purchase orders.o Works closely with vendors on stocking and maintaining shop inventoryo Reconcile invoices and quarterly inventorieso Tracks usage for annual pricing negotiationso Works closely with vendors to control cost and maintain consistent consignment inventory- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. **Who you will work with...*** Reporting into Maintenance and/or Reliability Manager **What you will bring to the table...
