Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Overhaul & Maintenance Methods Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on engineering optimised MRO methods by integrating Rolls-Royce with the Maintenance and Overhaul network to drive efficiency and value, while delivering lifecycle-cost improvements.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 1+ years of industrial experience, plus advanced degrees as preferred. US citizenship is required to be eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 1+ years industrial experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering.
• PhD in Engineering.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Technical Package ensuring the most technically efficient, modern, flexible and low-cost method.
• Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair processes and ensure the network meets them.
• Ensure Maintenance, Operational and Overhaul data meets regulatory and contractual commitments and is delivered through the technical authoring supply chain.
• Support Product quality assessments (e.g., FAI/LAI) at manufacturing/overhaul facilities and approve repair suppliers by Verification Production Method.
• Understand product service deterioration and feed findings into product maturity strategy and life-cycle cost opportunities.
• Interface between Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations, Design and stakeholders to provide ongoing support and improvements.
• Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, including returning service run components to serviceable condition.
• Support setup and approval of new repair/overhaul facilities and capabilities.
• Identify repair technology gaps.
