Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking an Overhaul & Maintenance Methods Engineer for the Indianapolis, IN area. The role focuses on engineering optimized MRO methods, bridging Rolls-Royce with the Maintenance and Overhaul network to deliver cost-efficient, technically robust solutions.

The successful candidate will define repair process requirements, manage regulatory and customer commitments, and support quality assessments at facilities while driving continuous improvements across the service network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• PhD in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Technical Package ensuring the most technically efficient, modern, flexible and low-cost method is achieved.
• Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair processes and ensure the network meets them.
• Ensure that maintenance, operational and overhaul data meet regulatory, contractual and customer commitments; manage delivery through the technical authoring supply chain.
• Support Product quality assessments (e.g., FAI/LAI) at manufacturing/overhaul facilities and approve repair suppliers.
• Understand service deterioration and feed findings into the product maturity strategy and life-cycle cost opportunities.
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations and Design to provide ongoing support and improvements.
• Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, including returning service run components to serviceable condition.
• Support setup and approval of new repair/overhaul facilities and capabilities.
• Identify repair technology gaps.
