Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an MRO Engineer in Aiken, SC to lead maintenance, repair, and overhaul efforts for engine components. The role emphasizes developing specifications, upholding repair standards, and ensuring data alignment with regulatory and customer needs.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, service operations and planning teams to support remanufacturing and overhaul activities, driving improvements while optimizing lifecycle costs.

Qualifications

• A mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree with related engine experience.
• Experience in design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of internal combustion engines.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MRO component and engine specifications for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Define and uphold technical requirements for component repair processes across the network.
• Ensure maintenance and overhaul data align with regulatory standards, contracts and customer commitments.
• Support quality assessments such as FAI and LAI at facilities and approve repair suppliers.
• Analyze product service deterioration to inform maturity strategy and lifecycle cost optimization.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to support remanufacturing and overhaul workshops and drive improvements.
• Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, restoring service-run components to working condition.
• Support establishment and approval of new repair and overhaul capabilities.
