Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services Inc. is seeking a MRO Buyer/Purchaser to support shop operations in Bethlehem, PA. You will quote, negotiate, and place orders for MRO items and emergency needs, while implementing VIM hardware and tooling programs to drive efficiencies.

You will manage open orders, coordinate with production and project managers, and pursue supplier development to reduce lead times and costs. Strong Excel skills and BOM reading are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, materials management and planning with MRO/shop items.
• Experience reading BOMs and mechanical drawings; strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of local Houston suppliers and industrial commodities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quoting, negotiating and placing orders for MRO and emergency items.
• Implement VIM system for standard hardware and shop support items.
• Purchase indirect shop tooling, cutters and consumables.
• Develop cost saving strategies and volume discounts for MRO buys.
• Create and process emergency POs to support weekend shop turnaround.
