Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a MRO Buyer/Purchaser to support shop operations from our Bethlehem, PA facility.

You will buy and route emergency requirements, coordinate with project managers and attend weekly production meetings to keep parts available and on schedule. You will implement VIM hardware, source indirect tooling and consumables, and drive cost-saving opportunities while ensuring on-time deliveries and effective supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ purchasing, materials management and planning experience.
• Experience procuring MRO, shop items, raw materials and industrial components (gaskets, O-rings, stampings, hardware, pipe and fittings).
• Knowledge of coordinating emergency logistics and supplier development is a plus.
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials, specifications and mechanical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Quote, negotiate and place orders for MRO and emergency job commodities.
• Implement VIM system for standard hardware and shop support items.
• Purchase indirect shop tooling, cutters and consumables.
• Develop cost-saving strategies and volume discounts for MRO buys.
• Create and process emergency purchase orders to support weekend shop turnaround.
• Track shipments and monitor open orders to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and lead times with Houston PLW and Job Boss system.
• Develop suppliers and coordinate best practices with engineered-to-order commodities.
• Attend open-order meetings with lead buyers and drive supplier performance.
• Travel to supplier sites for order surveillance as needed.
