Job Summary
The MRO Business Office Manager is responsible for managing planning, scheduling, quoting, work order administration, and warranty coordination for the MRO. This individual will focus on continual improvement processes to enhance presentation, preparation, execution, and billing practices tied to the MRO business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage quoters, planners/schedulers, work order administrators, and other team members.
- Ensure on-time delivery of MRO projects through team coordination.
- Collaborate with MRO sales, parts department, vendors, and department heads for timely project execution.
- Provide feedback on process improvements.
- Write performance evaluations and disciplinary actions for team members.
- Supervise up to 20 employees within the MRO Business Office.
- Motivate, mentor, train, and give feedback to the team.
- Ensure accuracy of quotes, work orders, invoices, and warranty claims, and their timely submission.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in general aviation.
- Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in general aviation.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft completion, production, and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with industry vendors, regulations, and procedures for timely interior completion.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting.
- Ability to justify capital expenditures, budgets, and business plans.
Education & Certifications
- Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
Other Prerequisites
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain an airport-issued security badge.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Occasional work in an aircraft hangar with variable temperatures and noise.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, balancing, and stooping.
- Clear vision for reading printed materials and screens.
- Effective communication through speech and hearing.
