Job summary

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is seeking an MRI Technologist for a WIP position at Newark Hospital. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates. The role involves performing MRI procedures, data entry in RIS/HIS/Intergy, and ensuring imaging quality for PACS.

Requirements include ARRT MRI registry, 2-year radiology degree, and preferred 2 years MRITechnologist experience. Siemens MRI equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI registry required or will have 2-year grace period to pass MRI exam after hire.
• Two-year associate degree in Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures per departmental protocols.
• Entering patient data into RIS, HIS and Intergy accurately.
• Transmits high-quality images to PACS system.
• Obtains and documents adequate patient history.
• Performs QC and digitizes films as needed.
• Delivers superior customer service to patients and staff.

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a MRI Technologist to work a WIP position at our Newark Hospital.

There is also a $7,5000.00 sign on bonus for eligible candidates!!!!

Schedule

• 3 out of 4 weekends
• weekends dayshift 0700-1930

As a MRI Technologist:

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
• Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
• Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
• Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
• Performs QC and is able to digitize films
• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements

• Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
• Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
• 2 years’ experience as an MRITechnologist preferred
• Experience with Siemens products preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $38.98 - $62.38This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
