Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Part-Time MRI Technologist for Newark Hospital, evening and night shifts. The role performs MRI procedures, manages data entry in RIS/HIS/Intergy, and ensures top-quality image transmission to PACS.

You will uphold safety practices and deliver compassionate care to diverse patients. Requirements include ARRT registry completion (MRI registry within 2 years), a 2-year radiology degree, and preferred Siemens MRI experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry completed or in progress; MRI Registry exam required within 2 years.
• 2 year associate degree in Radiology is required.
• 2 years of MRI experience preferred; Siemens equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures per departmental protocols.
• Enters patient data in RIS, HIS and Intergy systems accurately.
• Transmits high quality images to PACS and documents patient history.
• Ensures safe practice and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Provides patient and family care and supports the health care team.

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Part‑Time MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the evening and night shift.

There is also a $7,5000.00 sign on bonus for eligible candidates!!!!

As a MRI Technologist:

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
• Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
• Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
• Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
• Performs QC and is able to digitize films
• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements:

• Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
• Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
• 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
• Experience with Siemens products preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $38.98 - $62.38

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
