Baldwin Health in Gulf Shores, AL, is seeking an MRI Technologist I for part-time weekend days at our Freestanding Emergency Department. The role ensures patient safety, high-quality images, and adherence to MRI protocols. You will operate and maintain imaging equipment and support the radiology team.

The position requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program and 0–2 years of MRI experience with ARRT or ARMRIT certification eligibility. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program is required.
• 0-2 years of clinical MRI experience as a registered MRI Technologist is required.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification requirements are noted in licenses.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment safely.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and staff readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings for radiologist.
• Maintains MRI supplies and equipment inventory.
• Verifies orders and patient ID prior to starting procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal results.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Provides instructions and support to patients during/after exams.
