Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an MRI Technologist for full-time weekend night shifts at MUSC in Charleston. You will operate 3T and other MRI systems, deliver diagnostic quality images, and participate in patient care in a collaborative team environment.

This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance up to $5,000, and weekend shift differentials. Requires ARRT and ARMRIT registration, BLS, and graduation from an accredited radiologic technology

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT (R) registration required.
• ARMRIT registration must be obtained within 1 year if not registered.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
• Adhere to established safety standards, infection control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental operations., and organizational policies and procedures.
