Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure imaging rooms are prepared, maintain safety, and educate patients about procedures. You will position patients, monitor contrast use, and perform post-exam safety checks in a fast-paced radiology setting.

The ideal candidate has MRI-specific training, BLS certification, and ARRT/ARRT or ARMRIT eligibility. This role requires excellent communication and a commitment to compassionate care in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using immobilization and coil placement techniques for high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
