Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an MRI Technician in Rome, Georgia. The technician will ensure exam rooms are prepared for use, educate patients about MRI procedures, and administer IV contrast materials while monitoring patients.

Candidates should have an associate degree, effective communication skills, and a minimum of 1 year of radiology experience. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered alongside competitive pay ranging from $27.41 to $50.99.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in radiology with completion of MRI training program [Preferred].
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS) [Required].
• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT) or Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required].

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and safety.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast material.

Job Description

$20,000 Sign on Bonus

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
