Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an MR Technologist I to assist physicians in MR procedures, prepare patients, and safely operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. The role requires ARRT MR certification, an associate degree, and an active state license.IV credentialing is also required, with adherence to NH life support policies.

2-year degree preferred; at least 1 year MR experience is desirable. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to interpret patient needs

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT MR certification and state licensure requirements must be met.

What We Offer

The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
