MRI Technologist - Viewmont Imaging - Full Time - Evenings

Job Summary

Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This position involves three 12-hour evening shifts, with every 3rd weekend off. This posting is for an MRI Technologist I, with potential consideration for higher levels such as MRI Technologist II based on skills and experience. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists are responsible for using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform MRI scans, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and may assist licensed practitioners. They also prepare, administer, and document medication activities following legal and institutional policies.

Job Duties
  • Ensure correct order, proper patient identification, and preparation for exams, with appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
  • Utilize imaging protocols and optimize technical factors, prioritizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage/transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
  • Assist with MRI interventional procedures.
  • Perform MRI procedures as prescribed, selecting appropriate pulse sequences.
  • Participate in MRI safety and implant investigation processes.

Work is performed in a clinical environment. All job-specific obligations and policies must be followed. Additional department-specific skills may be required.

Position Requirements

Certifications required upon hire include:

  • ARRT in Radiography, NMTCB, or ARMRIT

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB certification before starting. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps for advanced certification within 24 months.

Qualifications

Graduate from a radiologic technology program (required); Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Certifications include ARRT in Radiography, BLS, ARMRIT, NMTCB, among others.
