Travel Nurse Across America Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Kansas City, Missouri.

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Kansas City, MO. The right MRI Tech must have at least 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
2. Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
3. Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
4. Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
5. Assist radiologists with procedures.
6. Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
7. Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and ensure proper sequencing and labeling.
8. Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
9. Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
10. Maintain accurate patient records.
11. Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
