Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, offering MRI-related training through on-the-job instruction. The MRI Technologist Trainee will learn safety, customer service, documentation, and MRI operation under a registered technologist.

Local travel may be required and pre-employment checks apply. Ideal candidates are in or pursuing a Radiology or MRI program with CPR certification, and possess strong customer service and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate from college or technical school or enrolled in Radiology program.
• Actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology or MRI program + CPR certification.
• Local travel may be required.
• Active state driver''s license for mid-day moves.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screens personnel before entering scanning room to ensure safety.
• Scans and documents patients under direction of a registered technologist.
• Completes documentation for patient files to meet Akumin policies.
• Performs other duties as needed.
