Job summary

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist Specialist to join our state-of-the-art imaging team. The role focuses on advanced imaging, patient safety, and collaborative care in a women’s health setting.

You will serve as a technical resource, support continuing education, and participate in quality assurance, accreditation activities, and staff training while providing excellent patient experiences with the Siemens Vida 3T MRI.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of MRI experience.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all job responsibilities of MRI Technologist Advanced, including procedures, MR safety, and patient data handling.
• Serves as a technical resource to Technologists, assisting with education and training on new techniques, protocols, and software.
• Responsible for offering remediation with Technologists, when necessary, and participates in staff annual performance reviews.
• Responsible for Tech quality assurance program and their protocols alongside of or in place of the Lead MRI Tech, and assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment.
• When appropriate, creates and implements new training programs and/or assists with the startup of new offsite locations.
• Attends advanced training sessions and seminars to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques, shares pertinent information with department, and assists with research studies, when applicable.
• Assists with accreditation responsibilities and ensures that all quality control tests, safety standards, and procedures are conducted and documented.
