Qualifications

• ARRT registry-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition.
• BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• CNMT/ARDMS/ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within time limits.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures while practicing MR safety guidelines.
• Labels, prepares, and administers contrast.
• Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked.
• Reviews history, documents in EMR, and ensures accurate coding and charges.
• Interacts with patients and staff with care, dignity, and respect.
• Communicates procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.

Work Schedule

• Varied daylight and evening shifts, primarily Monday through Friday!
• Rotating weekend (Saturday) and on‑call hours.
• On‑call holiday rotation.
• 8‑hour shifts with the possibility of 10‑hour shifts after training.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures while practicing MR safety guidelines.
• Prior to the start of exam, reads and presents all relevant information to the physician based on protocol and identifies all patients properly by using two identifiers.
• Labels, prepares, and administers contrast.
• Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.
• Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, all patient information is updated and documented, all exams are properly networked, and all charges are adequately entered appropriately.
• Interacts with both patients and coworkers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner, and the ability to explain procedures to help allay the patients’ fears and solicit their cooperation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT‑approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program.
• ARRT registry‑eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired, or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
• CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

• ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
