Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation. You will perform MRI procedures, acquire data, and assist licensed practitioners in complex imaging tasks while documenting in the EMR and ensuring patient safety.

The role requires ARRT(MR) certification, state license if applicable, and BLS/ACLS. Responsibilities include safety, image quality, and collaboration across departments; opportunities to train technologists are available.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) certification required; State license, if applicable.
• BLS/ACLS CPR certification.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images following company imaging protocols and accreditation guidelines.
• Interact with patients, radiologists, and staff; document in the EMR; ensure confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Administer and document contrast administration per policy and regulations.
• Train and orient new technologists on-site or via remote command center.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow infection control practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
