Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in CT is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality imaging and screening for MRI procedures. The role involves patient positioning, protocol selection, data processing, and coordinating patient transport in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Shifts include day and PM slots (9:00am–5:30pm or 3:00pm–11:00pm) with rotating call every 11 weeks and weekend coverage. Eligible for a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-year Radiology or MRI program graduate ARRT or ARMRIT, completion of MRI course at junior college level or above, or equivalent.
• Knows MRI physics and safety; board eligibility is preferred; CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients and select protocols for optimal MRI scans.
• Perform post-processing of data to enhance image quality.
• Operate MRI support equipment (capnography monitors, power injectors, post-processing programs).
• Initiate IVs for contrast administration per policy.
• Review charges for procedures and generate/modify charges as needed.
• Produce CDs for patients/physicians and coordinate patient scheduling/transport.
• Maintain MRI patient log and ensure patient data is documented correctly.
• Document data for QA and improve safety and compliance.
