Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to operate the MRI unit, prepare patients, and assist radiologists in diagnostic imaging. The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT certification and current BLS, with a strong focus on safety around high magnetic fields.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, screening patients, and performing quality control tests. The ideal candidate will engage in continued education and support clinical instruction.

Qualifications

• Registered professional with ARRT or ARMRIT in good standing.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI applications.
• Current BLS certification and ability to operate computer consoles.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI unit and related equipment to produce MR images.
• Prepare and test MRI unit for daily operation and QC procedures.
• Screen patients and obtain informed consent as needed.
• Assist radiologists and interpret imaging results with proper protocol.
• Maintain safety standards for high magnetic fields and contrast administration.
• Participate in clinical instruction and ongoing education.
