Job description

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans using magnetic fields and radio waves to capture images of the body's interior. These scans assist in diagnosing conditions affecting soft tissues, such as tumors or brain disorders. The role involves accurate image acquisition and collaboration with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information for patient care.

The responsibilities include:

1. Operating high field strength MRI equipment to produce specialized images of specific body parts.
2. Reviewing patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters.
3. Maintaining and operating MRI equipment safely, conducting regular checks to ensure reliability.
4. Collaborating with medical professionals during procedures to ensure optimal imaging quality.
5. Documenting all scans and related information accurately in CHL and PACS systems, verifying charges, and resolving discrepancies.
6. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.
