Job summary

UC Health is seeking a MRI Technologist for the radiology department at West Chester Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The role is full-time, second shift, with a $15,000 service bonus positioned to enhance talent acquisition.

Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, patient prep, contrast administration, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must complete a JRCERT-approved program or possess an associate degree in radiologic technology.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• ARRT registration or equivalent within 12 months of start date.
• Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, including reviewing patient histories and service requests.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed consent for invasive procedures.
• Position patients and protect them from magnetic hazards during MRI.
• Operate and adjust MRI equipment and optimize imaging parameters for diagnostic quality.
• Review MRI films for diagnostic acceptability and perform quality checks.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications under physician direction.
• Provide routine patient care in the department and uphold aseptic techniques.
• Assist in CPR or other emergency procedures as needed.
