Job summary

UC Health is seeking a full-time Registered MRI Technologist for West Chester Hospital to perform MRI procedures and ensure patient safety and accurate imaging documentation.

The role requires ARRT certification or equivalent, an associate degree in radiologic technology (bachelor’s preferred), CPR/BLS; JRCERT-approved program completion is expected. Expect a busy radiology department with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT certification or equivalent, and MR licensure where applicable.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required; bachelor’s preferred.
• CPR and BLS certifications current and in good standing.
• Completion of a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols.
• Review patient histories and service requests for completeness.
• Explain procedures and safety protocols to patients and staff.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and review images for quality.
• Administer contrast media as directed and monitor patients post-procedure.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in quality control activities.
• Collaborate with radiology team to ensure efficient patient flow.

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered MRI Technologist for the radiology department at West Chester Hospital. We are offering up to a $7,500 service bonus! The Registered MRI Technologist will support the West Chester Hospital’s Radiology Department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging according to established protocols. This includes reviewing the appropriateness and completeness of patient histories and requests for services.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Required: Associate's Degree - Radiologic Technology. Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree - Radiologic Technology
• Completion of a JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or have equivalent certifications, ARRT-MR licensure is required.
• Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers

Responsibilities

• Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs according to the situation.
• Performs all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, which includes, explaining procedures to patients, reviewing safety protocol with patients and participating parties, and completed MRI procedures according to safety standards.
• Operates complex imaging equipment in a safe manner and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability.
• Reviews and administers medications according to physician direction and provides continuous care to patients after completed procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media or medications orally and by intravenous injection.
• Administers or assists in administering CPR or other emergency procedures as needed.
• Maintains appropriate records and supplies, participates in quality control, and evaluates department, equipment, and performance for areas of improvement.
